The Conscious Venture Lab (CVL), an accelerator in partnership with SHIFT Ventures announced today that they have named Brian Le Gette, CEO and co-founder of Ammortal Inc., as entrepreneur-in-residence.
In his new role, Le Gette will help oversee the accelerator program CVL 5: A Challenge for More Resilient Cities. He will partner directly with Jeff Cherry, CEO and founder of the CVL, to advise the selected startup companies.
“As our team prepared to welcome a new group, we considered a few ways to elevate our company experience. Aside from adjusting our curriculum or inviting new speakers, I believed finding the right mentor would be a critical component to this round’s success,” said Cherry. “Brian was the perfect fit. He’s a resourceful leader with a strong perspective of the roadblocks that entrepreneurs face every day, and we are proud to have him on board.”
Le Gette previously served as the entrepreneur-in-residence for Sagamore Ventures, the venture arm of Plank Industries that became a founding partner of the CVL in 2017.
He has more than 20 years of executive experience helping businesses across multiple industries start-up, grow and optimize for the future. He is the inventor or co-inventor of numerous consumer products and has secured more than 50 patents in countries around the world. Last year, he founded Ammortal Inc., a performance longevity company.
He has served as a board director for several organizations including Living Classrooms, Sheppard Pratt Health Systems, Baltimore School for the Arts, and University of Maryland Clark School of Engineering. Le Gette earned his MBA in entrepreneurial management from The Wharton School in 1995 and earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1989 from the University of Maryland.
