Electric Motor Repair Company (EMR), a leading provider of service, parts, and installation to the commercial kitchen and industrial motor sectors, announced today that Emily Martin has been hired as the marketing manager. In her new role, Martin is responsible for the public relations, advertising, creative development, and overall brand management of the EMR name throughout the existing territories, which includes six branches across eight service regions, and beyond into growth markets and service offerings.

Martin comes to EMR most recently from Rooftop Communications, LLC, where she served as an account director for over eight years. Handling many full-service accounts throughout her 13 years in the advertising and public relations field, in her role at Rooftop, she was responsible for strategic management of accounts with marketing services such as market research, media planning/buying, social media management, creative development/production, public relations, as well as management of account services staff.

In her last four years with Rooftop, EMR’s previous agency of record, Martin ran the EMR account. After years of consulting with EMR, Martin grew connected to the people behind the brand. “It became clear that the organization was one that I could thrive in as an in-house marketer. There are opportunities to expand my skillset in the sales aspect of the business, which excites me,” said Martin.

Martin holds a bachelor of arts in Communication/Public Relations from the University of Maryland, College Park.
