UHY Advisors, Inc. and UHY LLP (UHY) is pleased to announce the promotions of Shelley Romano to principal and Amanda Good to senior accountant. Romano joined UHY in 2018 as part of the firm’s merger with bgr CPAs. Good has been with the firm since 2016.

Romano has over 35 years of experience providing accounting and tax services to a variety of clients, including auto dealerships, commercial real estate partnerships, manufacturing and distribution companies and family-owned businesses. She is very active in the firm’s ongoing volunteer efforts, which includes the Gilchrist Center, Howard County, where she chairs the auction committee for the annual Taste of Howard County event, the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, where she is on the committee for the annual Jingle Mingle event, and other various firm-sponsored charitable organizations. She is a graduate of the University of Hartford.

Good provides attestation and assurance services to companies in a variety of industries, specializing in not-for-profits. She is a regular volunteer at the Senior Dog Sanctuary in Severn, Md. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma.
