Annie Milli
Current Marketing Director will Assume New Role June 16
Live Baltimore, the independent nonprofit that promotes benefits of living in Baltimore City, announced today that Annie Milli, the organization’s Marketing Director since 2013, will become its next Executive Director on June 16. Milli’s appointment comes after a three-month long, national search.
“After receiving dozens of applications from highly-qualified individuals and interviewing 12 applicants, it became clear that the ideal candidate was already in the organization,” said Stacie Tobin, Live Baltimore Board President.
“Annie’s passion for Live Baltimore’s work is contagious,” continued Tobin. “She has keen and insightful knowledge of neighborhoods, schools, and the opportunities and challenges facing our city. She understands what it takes for families with children to stay in Baltimore and is adept at working with diverse audiences in ways that support their decisions to buy or rent here.”
Milli has nearly 15 years of marketing and advertising experience. Among her many accomplishments in her four years at Live Baltimore, Annie oversaw creation of the Way to Stay family retention program. She has streamlined organizational communications and successfully delivered messages in new and engaging ways, including the recent “Walk toSchool” videos and the “Baltimore by the Numbers” monthly real estate analysis.
“There is tremendous opportunity for Baltimore City and, as a result, for Live Baltimore,” said Annie Milli. “When a family chooses to make their home in Baltimore, it impacts more than the individual. We want to communicate how attracting and retaining residents has a significant effect on the health and character of our communities, the success of our businesses, and the strength of the local economy.”
Continued Milli, “I am energized by the enthusiasm and success achieved during Steven Gondol’s tenure as Executive Director. His thoughtfulness will serve as a guide as we complete and implement our new strategic plan. I look forward to working with Mayor Catherine Pugh’s administration in enhancing collaborations that boost opportunities for all current and future citizens of Baltimore.”
Prior to joining Live Baltimore, Annie Milli worked in consumer and brand advertising for Eisner Communications, Siquis, Ltd., and independent businesses. She holds a BA in Advertising and Graphic Design from The Columbus College of Art and Design and a Master of Science in Communication Management from Towson University. Milli lives with her husband and daughter in the Arcadia neighborhood of Northeast Baltimore City.
