Ellin & Tucker, the Baltimore-based public accounting and business consulting firm, announced today that it has promoted two of its professionals to principal: Michael Cirangle, CPA, has been named principal in the firm’s tax department and David Komlosy, CPA, has been named principal in the firm’s audit and accounting department.

Michael Cirangle joined Ellin & Tucker’s tax department in 2016, bringing nearly a decade of strategic tax planning experience to the firm. He specializes in providing complex tax consulting services to a wide variety of privately held businesses with operations in the construction, investment partnerships, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, professional service, real estate and technology industries. Cirangle has extensive expertise in and knowledge of privately owned companies, as well as tax-efficient investment strategies and financial tools designed to meet the needs of high net-worth individuals.

Cirangle is a member of the Towson University Accounting Advisory Board, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and United Way of Central Maryland’s Emerging Leaders United. He earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Towson University.

A seasoned advisor for Ellin & Tucker’s most prominent manufacturing, distribution and construction clients, David Komlosy has been with the firm for more than 15 years. He provides financial reporting, tax compliance, tax consulting and management advisory services for privately held businesses. An expert in employee benefit plans, Komlosy is a member of Ellin & Tucker’s Employee Benefit Plan Services Group and DFK International/USA’s Employee Benefit Plan Committee. He regularly performs audit services for numerous defined contribution benefit plans, employee stock ownership plans, and health and welfare plans for clients across a variety of industries.

Komlosy is a member of the AICPA and MACPA. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from University of Rhode Island.
