
Nathaniel Oaks
A longtime Baltimore City delegate who was once forced to resign his seat, but was later elected again, has been appointed to fill the shoes of former state Sen. Lisa Gladden in the upper house of the Maryland Legislature.
Gladden, 52, has multiple sclerosis and resigned her seat representing Baltimore City’s 41st District last month. She served in the Maryland General Assembly for 18 years, 14 of which were spent in the Senate.
Today, Gov. Larry Hogan appointed Del. Nathaniel Oaks, who represented the same district as Gladden in the House of Delegates, to fill her seat. The delegate-turned-senator has been involved in Maryland politics since 1983.
