
Julie Leventhall
The Y in Central Maryland is pleased to announce the hiring of Julie Leventhall as aquatics director at the Orokawa Y in Towson. In this role, Leventhall will oversee all water classes, swim lessons, lifeguards, pool schedules and pool maintenance.
She most recently served as the aquatics director at Kids First Swim Schools in Columbia, Md., where she was responsible for the training and hiring of employees, and the teaching of 1,200 swim students a session. Before this, she worked for the YMCA in New Jersey, starting her career in aquatics as a volunteer at the age of 13. Leventhall then worked as a lifeguard, swim and water fitness instructor, certified pool operator and assistant aquatics director.
Leventhall graduated from the New Jersey Academy of Performing Arts where she majored in drama. She resides in Woodstock, Md.
