Hope Morris
The Health Facilities Association of Maryland (HFAM) announced today that it has hired Hope Morris as the organization’s new program coordinator for government relations and member outreach. In this position, Morris will support HFAM’s government relations and membership teams by managing grassroots advocacy and social media campaigns, event logistics, and research.
With more than five years of government relations and advocacy experience, Morris has successfully worked with organizations on healthcare, tax, trade, and educational issues. Prior to joining the team at HFAM, Morris worked with Arent Fox LLP as a Government Relations Specialist, where she managed all logistics for forums, political fundraisers, advocacy days and other events and supported the government relations team by researching and tracking legislative progress. She also worked in the office of Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson (PA-05).
“HFAM’s team has a strong track record of success in advocating for long-term care facilities, their staffs and those who rely on those facilities for care,” said Joseph DeMattos, Jr., president and CEO of HFAM. “Hope is enthusiastic about our mission and well-equipped to be a valuable contributor to that success. I believe that her organizational and communications skills will be an incredible asset for our team.”
Founded in 1948, HFAM, is a leader and advocate for Maryland’s long-term care provider community, representing 150 of the 233 skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers in Maryland. Maryland’s long-term care provider community directly supports an estimated $3.7 billion in state economic activity – a major job-creator and economic engine for the state.
