Rosa M. Scharf Joins Howard Bank as SVP and SBA Relationship Manager

Howard Bank, a locally owned community bank serving businesses, professionals and individuals in the Greater Baltimore area, announced that it has hired Rosa M. Scharf as Senior Vice President and SBA Champion.

Scharf will be responsible for providing SBA loan solutions to small businesses in a variety of industries. Solutions include refinancing existing debt, purchasing commercial real estate, expanding or purchasing a business and preserving jobs. Scharf is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and advocacy to her clients.

Rosa joined Howard Bank as one of the original Employees of the bank and held various roles as Relationship Manager, SBA and Sales and Service Manager for our branches,” said Jim Witty, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of Howard Bank. “Rosa brings extensive knowledge of SBA and Howard Bank making her an ideal individual for this role. She will be partnering with our Relationship Managers and Branch Managers to continue to build out our SBA initiative.”

Scharf is a community player, serving as a board member for Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland and the St. Agnes Hospital Foundation.Scharf graduated from the Howard County Leadership Program and has a B.S. from the University of Baltimore.
