Baltimore Education Advocate Jason Botel Reportedly Joining Trump’s White House as Senior Adviser

Another Marylander has been named a top-level adviser to President Donald Trump.

Jason Botel, an education advocate from Baltimore, has been named a senior White House education adviser, according to Politico, a D.C.-based publication covering politics.

Botel started as a teacher in the Baltimore City Public Schools and later established a charter school, KIPP Ujamaa Village Academy. While he was principal, it became one of the highest-achieving middle schools in the city, according to the Baltimore Sun.
