Nick Mosby Gets State House Seat

Nick Mosby

A few weeks after ending his term as a City Councilman, Nick Mosby returned to a Baltimore elected office.

In the latest round of political musical chairs, Mosby got the nod to represent the city in the House of Delegates from the Democratic State Central Committee on Thursday night, according to WBAL. He’ll have to be formally appointed by Gov. Larry Hogan.

Mosby, who is husband of Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, ran for mayor last year. But he got out of the race before Election Day and backed Mayor Catherine Pugh. He ended his term as a City Councilman representing West Baltimore in December. Now, he’ll represent Baltimore in Annapolis. The seat was open because of Pugh’s election as mayor. Del. Barbara Robison was appointed to the Senate, leaving an open House seat.
