Bill Gorman

RSM US LLP - the nation’s leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market – is pleased to announce that Bill Gorman, chief operating officer for the firm, was recently recognized as a 2016 Irish America Wall Street 50 honoree by Irish America magazine.

The publication’s Annual Wall Street 50 recognizes the outstanding accomplishments and success of the best and the brightest Irish-American and Irish-born leaders of the financial industry.

“My parents and grandparents took great pride in their Irish heritage and instilled that same pride in me and my siblings,” said Gorman. “We always attended Irish Parades and celebrated St. Patrick’s Day, and we’re never shy about touting our Irish allegiance. I am proud to continue the family tradition that is synonymous with being Irish: hard work, and dedication to family, friends and church.”

When asked which of RSM’s recent achievements makes him most proud, Gorman cited the firm’s progress towards its vision to be the first-choice advisor to middle market leaders and providing opportunities for the firm’s 9,000+ employees. He also highlighted the unification and expansion of RSM’s worldwide network, including its relatively new member firm in Ireland.

“At RSM, we celebrate the heritage all of our partners and employees,” said Joe Adams, managing partner and CEO with RSM US LLP. “We are proud that Bill’s outstanding leadership has been recognized by the Irish American community, and we are extraordinarily fortunate to have him as a member of the RSM team.”

Gorman is a fourth generation Irish American, and he is a past member of the Hibernian Society in Baltimore, as well as the Society of Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick in Baltimore. He and his fellow honorees were celebrated during the recent 19th Annual Irish America Wall Street 50 awards dinner in New York City.
