Jane Lindenfelser
Patterson Park Public Charter School (PPPCS) Announces Jane Lindenfelser of Teach for America as the charter school’s next Executive Director. Ed Rutkowski, current Executive Director at PPPCS, will retire in July. Ed is a tireless advocate for the Patterson Park community and all of Baltimore’s children.
Jane Lindenfelser comes to PPPCS from a professional background rooted in education. In her own words, Jane wants to live in a world where every child and family in Baltimore is a part of a joyful, thriving, and diverse community like that at Patterson Park Public Charter School.
Jane moved to Baltimore 9 years ago after teaching middle school English in Minnesota and Louisiana, where she received two Teacher of the Year nominations. Most recently, Jane has worked as the Managing Director of Alumni Affairs at Teach For America in Baltimore. In this role, Jane was responsible for setting and managing the vision, goals and strategy for her team which supported a community of 800 teachers and leaders throughout the city. Her work also required close collaboration and partnership with key officials at City Schools, as well as City and State leaders. When she's not busy making meaningful connections on behalf of kids, you can find her spending time with her husband, Kojo, and their 1-year-old daughter Willa.
Jane Lindenfelser will begin her tenure as Executive Director on July 18.
The mission of Patterson Park Public Charter School is to provide a community-centered learning environment that values diversity and embraces a whole child approach to develop well-educated citizens.
