Baltimore’s Leading Pelvic Health & Wellness Practice Is Expanding

4/8/21

New movement, fitness, and retail studio connects to expert holistic wellness practice to introduce the leading home of pelvic health and wellness in Maryland

Indigo Physiotherapy, Baltimore’s leading pelvic health and wellness practice, announced today the expansion of a new 1,200-square foot movement studio and retail space slated to open this spring. The new space will be an addition to the 1,000-square foot pelvic health treatment center located at 600 Wyndhurst Ave., Suite 102, Baltimore, MD 21210 in the Roland Park neighborhood.

The expansion allows for the addition of various guided yoga, Pilates, and movement classes instructed by highly trained experts as well as space for the practice’s female athletes to partake in greater care, drills and performance evaluation and analysis. The renovated, light and airy studio space has ground-floor level access and ample parking. Classes being offered will include prenatal and postpartum yoga, Vinyasa yoga, yin yoga, prenatal and postpartum Pilates, yoga for runners, and yoga for pelvic pain among others.

Dr. Samantha DuFlo, PT, DPT, PRPC, certified RCCA Running Coach, and the owner and founder of Indigo Physiotherapy said, “Over the past year, we found that our clients, particularly perinatal and athletes, were seeking not just more opportunities for movement but also a sense of community. We believe our expansion will be an inviting space that allows us to provide both for our growing community.”

The expansion will also include the addition of three more treatment rooms to the practice, as well as access to a curated level of care with a host of experts in pelvic and women's health.

There will also be retail space housing a carefully curated line of goods from small, women-owned businesses including Salt & Stone, Good Medicine Beauty Lab, Dame Products and more. The merchandise will include products such as organic lubricants, products for prenatal and postpartum support, self-pleasure tools that are designed by womxn, skincare lines that are free of harmful endocrine-disrupting chemicals, and organic cotton goods for both babies and mothers.

“We can’t wait to welcome everyone — from people looking to dip their toes in for the first time to longtime yogis — into our small, inclusive group classes and hope that all bodies will find solace in our new studio space,” said Dr. Sam, who opened the original Baltimore-based location of the practice in 2016 bringing her unique, holistic approach to treatment of pelvic and sexual dysfunction to Baltimore City and the greater Maryland region.

Indigo Physiotherapy offers one-on-one, private and personalized treatment sessions, focusing on an individual’s goals for healing and returning to function.
