South Point Unlikely to Open its Waterfront Bar this Summer

It is unlikely South Point, Port Covington’s seasonal outdoor pop-up bar at West Covington Park, will open for the second straight year. South Point, which was open in 2018 and 2019, halted its bar and event operations last year because of COVID-19.

In a statement, The Port Covington Development Team said: “We hope to have some events at some point on the waterfront in Port Covington, predicated upon guidance from the CDC and local and state government, but it is unlikely that the business operation of South Point will be open this calendar year.”
