The Towson University College of Business and Economics (CBE) Advisory Board announced they have welcomed Aaron Copeland to their board of directors. Copeland is the founder and CEO of Alignstaffing, a staffing firm focused on education, behavioral health, and social services.
As an entrepreneur and community advocate for more than 20 years, Copeland is committed to building strong education systems and mental health systems throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and beyond. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Towson University.
“Getting a chance to give back to the exact place that empowered me with the resources I’ve carried throughout my career is a great feeling. It’s humbling, and a true honor to collaborate alongside talented leaders who share the same drive to create meaningful education opportunities for the next generation,” said Copeland.
Over the past decade, Copeland and his team have steadily expanded Align staffing to open two locations in the heart of both Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The firm specializes in finding long-term and hybrid hiring solutions for local organizations by connecting them with certified, caring talent.
“We are thrilled to have Aaron join our board and bring his thoughtful expertise to our conversations.” said Frank DeSantis, Chair of the Towson CBE Advisory Board. “I believe his passion for creating healthy, thriving education environments aligns perfectly with our core values, and I’m looking forward to hearing his strategic insight. As a fellow alum, we’re happy to have him back home.”
The Towson CBE Advisory Board serves as an advisory group to help develop the strategic direction of the college and transform the overall student experience. The team works towards launching innovative programs and resources, connecting individuals to opportunities by applying theory to practice in curricular, co-curricular and scholarship activities, and transforms students into professionals who will have a positive societal impact within Maryland and beyond.
Alignstaffing was founded more than two decades ago with the vision to connect DC-area children with the level of qualified educators and behavioral health professionals that were not available to its founder and CEO, Aaron Copeland, as he struggled through grade school.
Today, Alignstaffing has grown to a multi-location recruiting firm, focusing on three core industries: education, behavioral health, and social services. The firm employs nearly 50 professionals and places more than 1,500 professionals in organizations like traditional and non-traditional schools, early learning centers, clinics and insurers each year.
Alignstaffing is dedicated to improving communities and creating a remarkable experience for all those they serve. To learn more, visit: www.alignstaffing.com.
