Marriott International: Bullish As Post-Pandemic Travel Set To Support A Recovery

Marriott International, Inc. (MAR) is one of the world's largest hotel operators with a portfolio of more than 7,500 properties under 30 brands in 132 countries. This is a market segment that has been particularly disrupted during the pandemic given the collapse of business travel and leisure vacations amid ongoing restrictions. The company just reported its latest quarterly results highlighted by a 64% decline in comparable revenues over the period last year. Still, there are indications the outlook has improved as COVID vaccines are set to effectively end the pandemic supporting a view that the company can recover its growth trajectory and even benefit from pent-up demand by customers. We are bullish on shares of MAR and see more upside as the operations begin to normalize in 2021.
