Point Breeze Credit Union Appoints Helen Martinez to its Board of Directors

Point Breeze Credit Union recently announced Helen Martinez has been appointed to the organization’s Board of Directors. Martinez spent two years as a member of the Point Breeze Credit Union supervisory committee, prior to joining the board.

Martinez joins the board with over 35 years of experience in the Automated Industrial Control industry. Most recently, she served as the Director of Technical Support at Novatech Process Solutions, where she held various management roles during her long tenure. She also previously taught high school math in the Baltimore City Public Schools.

“Helen’s experience as a supervisory committee member and passion for finance make her an exceptional asset to our Board of Directors,” said Donald M. Gundlach, chairman Point Breeze Credit Union’s Board of Directors. “Helen is truly committed to carrying out our goal of being a reliable and trusted credit union and helping our members save time and money through friendly, convenient service.”

Martinez holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from the University of Maryland, College Park. She also earned a master’s degree in mathematics education from Loyola University, Baltimore.

Martinez is active in her community, having served as a member and committee chair for the Towson Fourth of July committee. She has also served as treasurer of the Three Arts Club of Homeland and assistant treasurer at the Marble Stock Club. Her volunteer experience includes serving as an AARP tax preparer, and volunteering with the Instrument Society of America and the Baltimore County Public Library.
