The Baltimore Museum of Industry press release:

The Baltimore Museum of Industry (BMI) announced today the launch of a podcast series set to debut next week exploring the history of Baltimore’s Bethlehem Steel mill and the surrounding community of Sparrows Point.

Set to launch on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, Sparrows Point: an American Steel Story is a six-part series produced by award-winning producer Aaron Henkin in partnership with WYPR radio. The podcast is the newest part of the BMI’s Bethlehem Steel Legacy Project, a multi-year community engagement and preservation initiative to document the 125-year history of the steelmaking giant made possible through the generous support of Tradepoint Atlantic.

The podcast examines the history of Bethlehem Steel including its role in two world wars, its heyday in the 1950s as the biggest steel mill in the world, and its descent into bankruptcy in 2001. It is a story of capitalism, labor unions, race, gender, civil rights, pride, and hubris. It’s the story of American steel.
