Marathon Real Estate, a ten year old Real Estate Company located in Anne Arundel County, is expanding its focus to include Commercial Brokerage. James A. White has joined as Principal. In his new role at Marathon, White, a 16-year local real estate veteran, will represent clients in Baltimore and throughout Suburban Maryland and assist with commercial and residential sales, leasing, and development consulting. As consultant or partner, White has worked on the assemblage, development, construction, leasing, and management of over 1.8 Million SF of Retail and Office projects comprising development of +/- 500 Acres of raw land. Past tenants include Home Depot (2), Target, BJ’s Wholesale, Pohanka Auto, Office Depot, Shoppers Food Warehouse, Starbucks, Chipotle, Capital One Bank, Quiznos, Buffalo Wild Wings, Pub Dog Pizza & Drafthouse, RUB BBQ, Dickey's BBQ, and more.

While working at Marathon Real Estate, White will continue to own and operate his own local independent company JAW Management, located in Baltimore City and founded in 2018. At his property management company, he will continue to conduct commercial and residential property management, leasing, acquisitions and dispositions for Landlords.

Prior to starting his own companies, White worked for TD&A as a senior associate for three years and also at NAI Michael in various roles for over seven years.

James A. White is a passionate volunteer for A Sharp Dressed Man nonprofit in Baltimore City. He is a two-time state baseball champion, a state champion in basketball in Georgia and is an avid sailor, competing in races in the Baltimore City Yacht Association (BCYA) as well as weekend Chesapeake Bay sailboat races. Personally, he is an enthusiastic supporter of independent local businesses, musicians and artists. He is a proud resident of Baltimore City.
