Ingleside CEO Lynn O’Connor Selected as Vice Chair/Secretary for LeadingAge DC Board of Directors

Ingleside, a premier, charitable not-for-profit provider of comprehensive older adult opportunities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, has announced that President and CEO Lynn O’Connor is the new vice chair/secretary on the LeadingAge DC Board of Directors.

LeadingAge DC is an advocacy and education leader for not-for-profit aging services providers through the continuum of care: life plan communities, senior housing, assisted living, nursing homes, and home and community-based services.

“Lynn O’Connor has been a tremendous asset to the LeadingAge DC Board of Directors since she joined in 2019,” said Ilana Xuman, LeadingAge DC executive director. “We are truly delighted that Lynn has accepted the nomination of vice chair/secretary.”

O’Connor joined Ingleside in 2010 and has led aging services organizations since 1980. She has broad and extensive experience in the aging services profession including finance, governance, operations, strategic planning, resident and staff relations, fundraising, external relationships, affiliations, and growth.

She has served as president & CEO for Frasier, president & CEO for The Washington Home & Community Hospices, executive director for Asbury Methodist Village, superintendent for Buttonwood, Administrator for Rittenhouse Care Center, and administrator in training for Key Circle Hospice.

Additionally, O’Connor serves on the Presbyterian Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (PAHSA) Board of Directors and chaired the Maryland Assisted Living Task Force which created MD Assisted Living regulations. A graduate of St. Joseph's University, she holds a master's degree in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University, and certification in long-term care administration from the University of Maryland. She is a licensed nursing home administrator (LNHA) in Maryland and is a Certified Aging Services Professional.
