H&S Bakery announced today that it will be opening a new Harbor East bakeshop and café called Kneads.

The eatery is slated to open in summer 2021 at 506 S. Central Ave., where it will specialize in made-from-scratch breads and baked goods.

H&S Bakery has been in the Paterakis family for four generations, since “Harry” Tsakalos and Isidore “Steve” Paterakis founded the business in 1943.

CEO Bill Paterakis said members of that fourth generation were the ones responsible for coming up with the idea for Kneads.
