The Ivy Hotel, the 19th-century boutique hotel in Mt. Vernon, will reopen October 1, and its lower floor eatery, Magdalena, will reopen on Oct. 9, re-launching with a new restaurant concept: Magdalena, a Maryland Bistro.

“We are thrilled to indulge guests in The Ivy experience again, which is so well suited to what local and regional travelers want in a getaway today,” said Rob Arthur, The Ivy Hotel general manager in a press release. “While we’ve instated significant COVID-19 precautions throughout the entire property in concert with guidance from public officials as well as the Director of the Harvard Medical School Infectious Research, The Ivy has long focused on cultivating an environment of peace, comfort and serenity.”

The Ivy holds just nine suites and nine rooms. The common areas are available to guests only.
