(WBFF) It's been a mainstay of business in Federal Hill for more than a century.

After 104 years of operation, Shofer's Furniture is closing its doors.

Management told FOX45, "We will be leaving the furniture business in early 2021".

In 2018, owner Hank Shofer said business was beginning to dwindle and that people seemed less inclined to come into the city to shop.

Online shopping has also taken a portion of his business away.

The store has been operating on Charles Street since the 1930's but has been in business since 1914.
