Hotel seeks to build brand loyalty and engage the community through more partnerships and events
The award-winning Hotel Revival, a Joie de Vivre hotel located in the heart of Baltimore’s historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, is pleased to welcome Jason Bass as its first director of culture and impact. Bass joins the team in this full-time capacity after having served in a consultant role helping produce events and social impact initiatives since November 2019.
“Inclusivity and community are two leading values that have been and are engrained in who we are as a brand and what we are continually striving to accomplish,” said Donte Johnson, general manager of Hotel Revival. “Jason has spearheaded a number of successful, inclusive, community-focused efforts at the hotel, including our weekly lunch and produce distributions that we started at the beginning of the pandemic, as well as several in-person and virtual events and conversations surrounding timely topics. His creativity, connections and character are an asset to Baltimore, and we feel fortunate to have him as part of our family.”
As director of culture and impact, Bass will build brand loyalty through engaging the community, guests, neighbors and partners and curating cultural programming and events at the hotel and its food and beverage establishments. In addition, he will coordinate and lead an employee engagement program where employees are presented with regular opportunities to volunteer and get involved with the community.
“I look forward to increasing the hotel’s presence while also engaging with the community through new initiatives, programs and events,” said Bass.
A recent honoree of the Baltimore Business Journal’s Diversity Awards, and the Baltimore Times’s Positive People Awards, Bass has gained attention in the Baltimore area for his commitment and dedication to the City. As co-founder of “The Night Brunch,” a group that coordinates monthly gatherings for the community at different restaurants in the City, and former CEO of the Baltimore-based Treason Toting Company, Bass’s work and mission is centered around Baltimore and its people.
At his most recent venture, Kiss Tomorrow Hello, a marketing and events agency, Bass worked with brands including Hotel Revival, to culminate impactful and impressionable events by identifying key audiences and coordinating partnerships. In addition to assisting the hotel with its weekly collection and distribution efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Bass developed month-long programming at the hotel during Black History Month, as well as virtual events and conversations surrounding mental health, Juneteenth, International Yoga Day among other topics.
Bass graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Business Administration in marketing from the University of Baltimore. He is a proud father and resident of Baltimore.
With social impact deeply rooted in its mission, the two-year-old hotel strives to continue its community-focused, culturally driven efforts through the hiring of Bass. For more information and to stay updated on the hotels programming and events, visit @revivalbaltimore on Facebook and Instagram.
