Swami Swaminathan Joins Board of NKF Serving Maryland and Delaware

LUTHERVILLE, Md. (Apr. 14, 2020) - The National Kidney Foundation Serving Maryland and Delaware has elected Swami Swaminathan to a two-year term on its board of directors.

A healthcare IT executive with more than 25 years of experience, Swaminathan is the Chief Information Officer of RELI Group Inc. in Catonsville. He previously held management and director positions with such firms as New Wave Telecom and Technologies,Northrop Grumman and Telligen.

Swaminathan began his career as MIS programmer with the Ministry of Industry and Public Works in Doha, Qatar.He holds the following degrees and certifications:

  • MBA (Global Management) from Strayer University, USA
  • Master’s degree in Math with Statistics and Operations Research from University of Madras
  • Project Management Professional Certification from Project Management Institute
  • Life Office Management Association Certification
  • Certificate on Managing Projects in Organization from George Washington University.


Active in the community,Swaminathan volunteers for “causes that focus on improving health or education.

“To align with my background and experience, it is natural that I serve NKF,” he explains.

Swaminathan resides in Ellicott City with his wife, Aarti, and their daughters, Pooja and Archana.
