More than a year after a fire destroyed the storefront it has operated out of since the 19th century, local paint retailer Budeke’s Paints is being acquired by McCormick Paints, a company with 13 locations throughout Maryland and even more in the surrounding region.
The Budeke’s Paints location in Timonium will continue to operate under the Budeke name.
Bryan Koerber, owner of Budeke’s Paints and the great-great-grandson of founder George H. Budeke, said in a press statement that the two retailers–both family-owned and operated independent paint retailers–are a good match for one another.
