Rotunda Capital Partners Acquires Trinity3 Technology

Bethesda, Maryland-based Rotunda Capital Partners has acquired a majority interest in Minnesota-based Trinity3 Technology, provider of student computing solutions, warranty services and enterprise products for the K-12 education market. This acquisition makes up the private equity firm’s 13th platform investment.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Trinity3’s CEO Gary Embretson will continue to lead the company, and its management team “will retain a significant equity interest and will continue leading the business,” a press release states.

“As we were planning our next five-year vision, it was obvious to our team that Rotunda shared similar strategic views for what this company could accomplish,” said Embretson in a statement. “Through this partnership, our management team, personal customer experience, and unique employee culture won’t change — but we gain the expertise and capital to grow the business in a market that’s ripe with opportunity.”
