Bruce J. Beardsley
Largest not-for-profit senior housing provider enhances governance capabilities and prepares for industry growth
Bruce J. Beardsley, aboard member of National Senior Campuses, Inc. (NSC) and Chair of its Budget and Finance Committee, has been selected to lead the organization as its first Chief Executive Officer. NSC’s board created the CEO position in the expectation of future industry growth and as part of an enterprise-wide strategy for the 16 communities it governs in a unique business relationship with Erickson Living, which develops and manages the communities.
Beardsley will assume the position effective on October 1st, 2019, and says he is focused on ensuringNSC continues with Erickson Living providing best-in-class services to its residents while at the same time developing forward-looking strategies to address changes and growth in the senior living industry.
NSC is the largest governance board of continuing care retirement communities in the United States, overseeing sixteen communities that are home to more than 24,000 residents.

Beardsley has over 25 years of business development and management experience in a health care environment. In addition to serving on the Board of National Senior Campuses, he has served as Chair of Lantern Hill in New Providence, New Jersey. Beardsley has also served as Chair of the NSC Budget and Finance Committee and on the NSC Strategic Planning Committee.
As a not-for-profit, mission-driven organization, the NSC Board has a fiduciary responsibility to ensure its communities remain viable and prosperous long into the future. NSC seeks to ensure that resources generated by the communities continue to benefit the communities. NSC partners with Erickson Living to identify trends in the CCRC landscape, such as technological, societal, and medical factors, that may impact current and future residents. NSC reviews recommended Erickson Living strategies with a goal of balancing future opportunities with future risk.
