This week, the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce welcomed three new business leaders to the Board of Directors. Adam Jaweed of Orange Element, Gina Ramsey of Pink Dog Digital, and Morgan Lyons of Strategic Factory joined the BCCC Board of Directors on July 1, 2019. Along with over twenty other business leaders who sit on the organization’s board, they will help guide the direction of the Chamber. The Chamber’s mission is to grow business and economic development, promoting both the members’ and Baltimore’s core assets and features.

“It is an honor to have three new board members to serve on the Board and I hope that this will be the beginning of a rewarding experience for all of them,” says Board Chair Richard Craft. As board members, Jaweed, Ramsey, and Lyons will take on a role that helps shape the organization’s operations and influence the Chamber’s impact on the city. Board members provide leadership, promotion, and outreach opportunities for the Chamber.

As a Baltimore City resident and business owner, Gina Ramsey says, “I’m excited to join the board of the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce. I know that this organization helps promote businesses within the city and strives for the long-term success of the city as a whole.” Ramsey founded her company Pink Dog Digital in 2018 after a career working in digital marketing in Baltimore. Although her team is spread throughout the U.S., she calls Baltimore home. She created her company to offer tailored digital marketing solutions to small businesses, and counts among her many clients small businesses in Baltimore.

Adam Jaweed is the Director of Business Development at Orange Element, a Baltimore-based marketing agency. Since November 2018, he has served as the Marketing Chair for the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce. In that role, he worked toward developing, implementing, and promoting value-filled programs and resources for the organization’s members. As a member of the Board of Directors, he will be able to grow and continue this work.

As a relationship manager at Strategic Factory, Morgan Lyons helps build connections between the integrated marketing agency and current and potential clients. As a recent college graduate, Lyons brings youth and enthusiasm to the board.

In the early 1990s, Baltimore business leaders activated the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce to promote small and medium-sized businesses in the city. Today, the Chamber includes over 200 members representing a wide array of Baltimore businesses, including banks, restaurants, attorneys, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, and marketing firms, including some of “Baltimore City’s foremost business, legislative and community leaders.” The Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to serve as an engine for business and economic development that promotes both members’ and the City’s core value propositions. The Chamber hosts events to facilitate networking with Baltimore’s business and government leaders, leading to new sales channels and opportunities. Any business legally authorized to operate in the state of Maryland can become a member. For more information about membership and the Chamber, visit baltimorecitychamber.org
