Becomes first woman chair of group in more than 30-year history of the firm

Pessin Katz Law, P.A. (PK Law) has announced the appointment of Lauren B. Ades, Member, to Chair of the firm’s Corporate and Real Estate practice group, marking the first woman to ascend to this position in the more than 30-year history of PK Law. Ms. Ades has been associated with the firm since 2006 and concentrates on the areas of corporate and business law, commercial financing and real estate.

“Lauren’s experience in corporate, real estate and business law, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial finance, business formation and real estate transactions, positions her as the ideal professional to assume these increased responsibilities,” stated Drake Zaharris, Managing Director, PK Law. “We have complete confidence in Lauren’s abilities, and her highly-refined communication, organizational and leadership skills will help elevate the visibility of these practice groups in the regional business community. In her new role, Ms. Ades will oversee all strategic planning and practice development initiatives for the PK Law Corporate and Real Estate practice group.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and her Juris Doctorate from the New York Law School.

Ms. Ades is a member of The Associated Board of Directors; member and past chair of IMPACT Board, the young adult division of The Associated; and board member of the Center for Jewish Education. Ms. Ades received the Harry Greenstein Young Leadership Award from The Associated in 2018 and was named to The Daily Record Leading Women list in 2015, as well as receiving The Daily Record VIP Award in 2013.
