Maryland cybersecurity company ID Agent was acquired by IT infrastructure management company Kaseya, the companies announced this week.

ID Agent will continue to operate under that brand as a business unit of the company, and will keep its headquarters in Bowie, led by CEO Kevin Lancaster. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We’re so excited to join Kaseya,” Lancaster said in a statement. “The marriage of ID Agent with Kaseya’s existing security stack will give external and internal service providers greater opportunity to be leaders in cybersecurity protection by staying ahead of emerging threats with powerful, cost-effective services.”
