Walter R. Kirkman
Baker Donelson is pleased to announce that Walter R. Kirkman has been elected to a two-year term as president of the board of directors of The Loading Dock, Inc.
Established in 1984, The Loading Dock is the nation's first successful, self-sufficient, non-profit buildings reuse center offering new and used items and architectural salvage at low cost to housing organizations, community centers, neighborhood improvement groups, non-profits, theaters, senior citizen groups, day care centers, modest-income individual and families, landlords, contractors, artists and historic restoration enthusiasts. The Loading Dock's two-fold mission is to increase the supply and use of affordable building materials for housing and community improvement by redirecting landfill-bound usable materials into productive use.
Mr. Kirkman is a shareholder in Baker Donelson's Baltimore office and a member of the Firm's Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy Group and Financial Services Transactions Group. He represents lenders and equipment lessors in connection with initial documentation, modification, restructure and out of court workout of commercial credit facilities and in connection with Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy proceedings and all phases of related commercial litigation. Mr. Kirkman has served on the board of The Loading Dock since 2012.
