
The four-year-old Mount Vernon bar-and-restaurant outpost of beloved local Italian deli Trinacria has shut down indefinitely, according to a sign posted on its front door.
“We will be closed until further notice,” says a scribbled note, a photo of which was posted to a local neighbors group on Facebook. It adds, “Sorry for the inconvenience.”
An employee who answered the phone at the flagship Trinacria deli on W. Paca Street, today confirmed the W. Centre Street spot is shut down indefinitely. The staffer, who asked not to be named, said owner Vincent Fava was not available to comment, and that she could not offer a reason for the restaurant’s closure.
