After two years of serving up well-sauced, too-big-for-the-bun fried chicken sandwiches from a stall inside Remington food hall R. House, BRD is joining the party down in Federal Hill.

The vowel-renouncing chicken joint (it’s an acronym: “baked, roasted and deep-fried”) plans to open a second location on the ground floor of the new five-story, 29-unit Wheelhouse apartment complex, situated on S. Charles Street across from the newly renovated Cross Street Market.

The new space should be swanky, with room for 40 customers and a design drawn up by PI.KL Studio. It’ll offer many of the same flavors and menu items—including generously portioned “sandos,” wings, fries and slaws—as the R. House location, as well as new offerings like tenders, milkshakes, more sauces and dips, and sodas.
