Paola Moya, CEO of D.C.-based design studio Moya Design Partners, is featured on the cover of the Washington Business Journal (WBJ)’s 2019 “Book of Lists,” celebrated tonight at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C.

WBJ’s Book of Lists is a popular annual publication that ranks companies, institutions, executives and industries, providing exclusive data and insights. WBJ distinguished this year’s annual issue by highlighting successful immigrants contributing to D.C.’s thriving business community. Moya is featured as an immigrant of Colombia who has designed and shaped the built landscape of the D.C. region and beyond, and oversees a successful graphics and design studio.

Moya was also honored this month by Walker’s Legacy, in partnership with AARP and the Minority Business Development Agency, with a 2018 Power15 Award, which was presented to 15 leading businesswomen in Washington, D.C. in mid-January. Power15 is a national recognition program that highlights the achievements of notable business and community leaders, celebrating multicultural women who thrive in an array of industries, including social entrepreneurship, business, technology, media, and real estate.

“I’m humbled to be featured by the Washington Business Journalon their Book of Lists’ cover and honored to receive the Power15 Award,” said Paola Moya, CEO of Moya Design Partners. “These recognitions come at an exciting time for me, as my company celebrates its one year anniversary and we look back on all the amazing graphics and design work we have accomplished for diverse clients!”

Moya was also presented a prestigious achievement award in April 2018 by Montgomery College, who honored Moya for her impressive accomplishments in the fields of architecture and design, including her leadership in winning and overseeing some of the most influential projects in the region. The 2018 Milton F. Clogg Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award is the College’s highest honor recognizing former students. She is among the youngest alumni to have received this award.
