Margo Day
Discourse Analytics announced the appointment of Margo Day to its board of directors, which was effective on January 10, 2019 replacing John Anzalone, the founder and president of Anzalone, Liszt, Grove Research who retires from the Board after six years of service.
"Now is the time for us to move forward into the next stage of the Company's evolution and are excited to have Margo join our Board of Directors as she is a well-respected global education technology leader who will provide the type of guidance necessary to power Discourse Analytics as we grow and scale the higher education division of our business," Lou Aronson added. "We will lean heavily on Margo and her domain experience and understanding as we continue to identify innovative ways to empower universities as they nudge students to enhance their experience. Lastly, we would be remiss if we didn't take this moment to thank John for his time on the Board and guidance over the years. John provided a steady hand as we transformed the Company from a political social network to a prescriptive analytics company focusing on improving student journeys and borrower experiences." said Chief Executive Officer Lou Aronson.
When asked, Ms. Day offered, "I am extremely excited to join Discourse Analytics' Board. I believe there are significant opportunities to impact students and create value. I am eager to work alongside my fellow Directors to enhance the Company's competitive position for long-term success. But, beyond corporate scaling, it is the Company's ultimate ability to drive positive change in education through the application of cognitive science, behavioral economics and artificial intelligence that I have found both inspiring and compelling."
Ms. Day retired from Microsoft as the Vice President of Education in September 2018, where she empowered the Higher Ed and K12 market to enable students to create the world of tomorrow. Over the past few decades, Ms. Day has led various teams at Microsoft who were focused on digital transformation through technology. Ms. Day is passionate about philanthropy and has been an active member of the National Leadership Council at World Vision. She is especially dedicated to advocating and helping to raise funds for the Kenya Child Protection through Education project.
