115-Year Old Maryland Institution Hosts Retirement Sale

A community staple for 115 years, Cohen’s Clothiers (Cohen’s) will shut its doors by the end of March. From its beginnings as a pushcart in Baltimore and West Virginia, Cohen’s has been an upscale retailer dressing generations of families at its Cockeysville location since 1969.

Cohen’s will host its biggest sale in the store’s 115-year history, liquidating all its stock including basics it never put on sale from brands such as Cole Haan, Frye, Hart Schaffner & Marx, Johnston & Murphy, Johnnie O, Smathers & Branson, Southern Tide, and Vineyard Vines. Everything will be reduced at least 25%—75% off. Store fixtures will also be liquidated.

The Cohen’s Retirement/Going Out of Business Sale begins Wednesday, January 16th at 9:00 a.m.

“This store, which my grandfather Max Cohen first opened in 1904, has been a source of great pride to me and my family,” said Gilbert Cohen, owner of Cohen’s. “It’s been a great run; but with our lease set to expire, for me the time has come to retire from retail and move on. Goodbyes are never easy; but the satisfaction of filling a need in our community for so many years will remain. Along with our wonderfully talented and loyal staff, I thank everyone for their friendship and support.”

As the one-stop destination for the whole family, Cohen’s offers a broad selection of apparel for women, dress clothes and casual sportswear for men and boys, footwear for everyone, and trendy options for girls and juniors. Customers can visit Cohen’s Clothiers at 64 Cranbrook Road, Cockeysville, MD during extended first week sale hours.

From its earliest roots at the city’s waterfront to its final location in Cockeysville, Cohen’s is Baltimore’s oldest family owned-and-operated clothing store. Offering premier service and personalized attention to its customers, the store prides itself on having met the changing tastes and needs of its community and has served as the prime outfitter to the area’s schools.

Don’t miss out on the store’s biggest sale with an incredible selection of today’s designer brands. For more information, visit  https://cohensclothiers.com/
