The Most Admired CEOs awards program recognizes talented business CEOs and nonprofit executive directors throughout Maryland for their leadership and vision. Recent honorees include Dr. Redonda G. Miller, Johns Hopkins Hospital; Matthew Doud, Planit; Mary Ann Scully, Howard Bank; and Scott Burger, PANDORA. The winners were selected based on professional accomplishments, community service, and letters of reference submitted by coworkers, board members and community leaders showing the CEOs' leadership and vision.

“It’s hard to express just how thrilled I am to receive such a prestigious award, but the greatest honor for me was learning that my team had nominated me. This year, we at Elite took our largest risk to date,” said Jennifer Rotner. “To know that my team kept faith in me during those tumultuous, uncertain months—even to the point of nominating me for the Most Admired CEO awards—is very humbling.”

In early 2018, Elite Editing’s single largest publishing industry client suddenly closed up shop, a challenge that might have staggered a less determined leader. However, Jennifer saw opportunity rather than obstacle. Within a few months, she had created Elite Authors, a comprehensive publishing services company assisting independent authors and publishers.

Nearly 300 business leaders and guests gathered at the BWI Hilton on November 5 to celebrate the 2018 class of Most Admired CEOs.
