The American Cancer Society announced the development of a new Board of Advisors for the Greater DC/Baltimore Area consisting of 12 members. “We are honored to welcome the new American Cancer Society Board of Advisors for the Greater DC/Baltimore Area,” said Tswana Sewell, executive director of the American Cancer Society. “The board’s aim is to provide strategic leadership to help the American Cancer Society further its goals and objectives, with a special focus on access to care and research.”
“The board is comprised of executives throughout the Greater DC/Baltimore Area, who are passionate about the American Cancer Society’s mission to help save more lives from cancer”, said Stephen Baskin, Board Chair and partner with Mayer Brown, LLP. “Over the next year we look to expand our board to 15 to 20 members, who can help provide more free lodging and rides for cancer patients and further our local research priorities.”
