The Container Store, the only national retailer solely dedicated to providing storage and organization products, will build and lease a 600,000 square-foot distribution center at the Eastgate 95 Industrial Park in Perryman. The project is expected to create 150 full-time jobs by the end of 2019. The 40-year-old company has been on Fortune’s 100 “Best Companies to Work For” list for the past 19 years.
“Harford County is an ideal location for The Container Store to be able to better serve our customers on the East Coast and we look forward to becoming a part of this strong and vibrant community,” said Val Richardson, vice president of real estate for The Container Store.
The state, through the Maryland Department of Commerce, and Harford County worked closely with the company to find a location in Maryland. The company is eligible for a number of state tax credits, including the Job Creation Tax Credit and Enterprise Zone credits.
