Kate Nolan Bryden
Kate Nolan Bryden, Vice President, Development for MRP Industrial, has been awarded a 2018 Developing Leaders Award by NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. The award is reserved for commercial real estate professionals under 35 years of age who have distinguished themselves and show promise as a “future industry leader.” Nolan Bryden was one of seven recipients of this year’s national award. There are currently more than 4,500 Developing Leaders among the 51 NAIOP chapters across the country.
Nolan Bryden becomes the ninth NAIOP Maryland Developing Leader member to achieve this distinction over the past 10 years. Past winners are Ryan Burrows of JLL and Kate Jordan of Lee & Associates (2016); Jonathan Manekin of Greenspring Realty Partners (2015); Nicole Wilhelm-Smith of ECS Mid-Atlantic (2014); Christopher Murray of Chesapeake Real Estate Group (2013); Taylor Fields of Knott Realty Group (2012); Brendan Gill of The MacKenzie Companies (2011); and Alex Kopicki, Principal of Solstice Partners and Kinglet (2009).
“My involvement with NAIOP has significantly accelerated my professional development, given me an expanded appreciation for and understanding of the industry, and helped me to widen my network of relationships including extremely influential industry titans,” Kate Nolan Bryden stated. “Absent NAIOP, I would not have been able to access these accomplished executives that I’ve been fortunate to meet and learn from. Additionally, I am incredibly grateful to be working for MRP Industrial, an entrepreneurial and high-growth company that values the reach and relevance of NAIOP and has supported my involvement with this organization that has broadened my horizons.”
Nolan Bryden oversees the day-day-day design and construction responsibilities for MRP Industrial and has developed more than four million square feet of space throughout her more than 12-year career. The Baltimore-based company specializes in the acquisition, development, financing and leasing of industrial real estate throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
“Kate is universally recognized and respected in the real estate industry and is known for her work ethic, enthusiasm, positive attitude and ability to make a difference in the local community,” explained Vince Bagli, NAIOP-MD President. “Her selection is a testament to the outstanding group of young professionals that exist in our Chapter, as well as our fast-growing Developing Leaders program that continues to attract and nurture top talent in our industry. The entire NAIOP Maryland organization takes pride in this award as these wins over the past 10 years demonstrate the effectiveness of our mentoring program that partners real estate veterans with young and emerging professionals.”
More than 400 professionals are involved in NAIOP Maryland, comprised of companies and individuals working in development, investment, construction, brokerage, asset management, finance, architecture, engineering and legal services. Visit www.naiopmd.org
