The Bun Shop Closes Its Downtown Location

3/5/18

Just shy of its second birthday, the downtown outpost for The Bun Shop has closed its doors.

As first reported by the Baltimore Business Journal, the global pastry shop at 22 Light Street is no more. We confirmed this Monday, as a phone line for the eatery was disconnected on Monday afternoon, and its Yelp page has been updated as “CLOSED.”

The shop opened in April 2016 as a cafe, eatery and music venue. Its website still lists 10 other shows scheduled through this June, and it remains unclear if they’ll be moved to a different venue.

Owners Minh Vo, Lam Bui and Andrew Bui could not be immediately reached by phone at their flagship location on W. Read Street in Mount Vernon, and haven’t returned a message sent to their separate email account for music events.
