Dan Cathell

The Casey Cares Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, today announced that Dan Cathell, Chief Executive Officer at the MidasCompanies, which serves the East and Gulf Coast regions of the United Statesby offering a full range of utility construction and repair services, will be joining its Board of Directors.

“I am so excited to have Dan join our Board of Directors,” said Casey Baynes, founder and executive director of the Casey Cares Foundation. “Dan brings nearly two decades of experience to his role as Chief Executive Officer at the Midas Companies, and we are looking forward to him bringing some of that knowledge and compassion to our programs at the Casey Cares Foundation.”

Cathell’s experience includes the development of strategic finance and operational plans for companies in the construction, retail, and oil and gas industries and strategic transactions totaling more than $15 billion in value. His previous experience includes work for the Carlyle Group implementing strategies to turn round distressed investments. Cathell joined Midas as its Chief Financial Officer in 2014, and the company named him Chief Executive Officer in 2017.

“I have been looking for an opportunity to work with an organization that gives so much to its community, and with three young children of my own, the emphasis Casey Cares puts on the support and care of the entire family really stood out to me,” Cathell said. “My own personal experiences and my own children make this opportunity very special to me, and after meeting with Casey and seeing her passion and hearing more about the Casey Cares credo, this immediately felt like a perfect fit. I’m very excited to be a member of its Board.”

He lives outside Annapolis, Maryland, with his wife and three children.
