Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Appoints Kimberly Min to Board of Directors

Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Inc. (JA), a non-profit organization dedicated to educating young people to succeed in a rapidly changing economy, announced today that Kimberly Min, Partner of Whiteford Taylor Preston LLP, has been named a member of its Board of Directors.

With more than fifteen years of experience in real estate law,Min works directly with non-profit borrowers and focuses on representing clients in public finance transactions, public/private partnerships, tax transactions, joint ventures, and mergers. Her pro bono work includes assisting non-profits in utilizing tax credit for the rehabilitation of Baltimore City national historic landmarks, a contract school, and a children’s park in Mt. Vernon.

Prior to her time with Whiteford Taylor Preston LLP, Min clerked for The Honorable Raymond A. Jackson of the United States District Court of Appeals for the Eastern District of Virginia andThe Honorable Stanley F. Birch of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Min was selected to be co-speaker at the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) Bond Attorney Workshop and co-author of the NABL Bond Attorney Workshop Direct Purchases materials course. Min has served as amember of the Urban Land Institute, the NABL, and the Maryland State Bar Association.

Min earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from Salisbury State University in 1997 and went on to complete her education with a Doctor of Law from Columbia University in 2001. She is admitted to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and New York.
