LFM Adds Three New Principals

Lipman Frizzell & Mitchell LLC, a commercial real estate valuation and consulting firm serving the Washington/Baltimore region for over 40 years, proudly announces the addition of three new principals: James E. Caminis, MAI; Stacy A. Harman; and Kevin L. Kagen.  

On their addition, M. Ronald Lipman, MAI, founding principal of Lipman Frizzell & Mitchell (LFM), said “James, Stacy, and Kevin represent the next generation of appraisal excellence in the Washington/Baltimore region. LFM’s future as the area’s leading appraisal and consulting firm is assured.”

Mr. Caminis has been with LFM for 13 years and holds the MAI designation of the Appraisal Institute. James serves on the board of the Maryland Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and has testified as an expert witness in the Maryland Tax Court. Mr. Caminis is a graduate of the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He holds commercial real estate appraiser licenses in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and the District of Columbia. James’ primary focus is on industrial and retail buildings, shopping centers, mixed-use properties, net-leased assets, vacant land, special purpose property, and portfolio/estate fractional interest valuations.

Ms. Harman has been with LFM for 30 years and, over her tenure, has obtained commercial appraiser licenses in Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Stacy is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and a board member of the Maryland Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. Her assignments cross many property types, with a focus on special purpose properties such as automobile dealerships, country clubs and golf courses, marinas, and residential subdivisions. Stacy’s experience includes partial takings and conservation easement valuations. She is pursuing an MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.

Mr. Kagen has been with LFM for over 6 years and is actively working on obtaining an MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. Kevin has a Masters of Real Estate (MSRE) degree from Johns Hopkins University and Bachelor degrees in Real Estate and Finance from the University of South Carolina. He holds appraiser licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Kevin has extensive experience with retail, office, multi-family, and special purpose properties, and portfolio/estate fractional interest valuations, with a concentrated focus in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia.
