Brokers Bill Harrison and Marley Welsh also recognized for individual leasing activity

Lee & Associates Chesapeake Region has captured four Power Broker Awards from CoStar Group in the company’s annual survey recognizing the highest real estate sales and leasing transactional volumes concluded throughout major markets in the United States and Canada. The Maryland office of Lee & Associates was cited for Leasing Transactions in Baltimore and Sales Transactions in Baltimore. Separate individual awards were also won by Bill Harrison in the Baltimore Office Leasing category and by Marley Welsh in the Baltimore Industrial Leasing category.

CoStar Group, a company providing commercial real estate information, market research and analytics, presents these awards annually to brokerage firms and individuals based on objective sales and leasing transactional volume as gathered by the company’s more than 1,600 person research team.

Bill Harrison, Senior Vice President for Lee & Associates, was among fifteen brokerage professionals to win the Top Office Leasing Broker Award in the Baltimore region. He joined the company in 2013 and focuses on commercial office sales and leasing throughout the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. Notable leasing transactions last year include a 22,000 square foot lease negotiated on behalf of Harkins Builders at 60 Corporate Center in Columbia; a 24,578 square foot lease with QSSI on Little Patuxent Parkway and a 40,800 square foot lease with Samaritan’s Purse in Odenton. Harrison represented the landlord, H H Corp, on the Harkins and QSSI leases. He also secured the exclusive leasing listing for Maryland Corporate Center, a four-building, 224,000 square foot project in Lanham, Maryland.

Marley Welsh, Senior Associate for Lee & Associates was also among fifteen brokerage professionals to be honored in the Top Industrial Leasing Broker category and the only woman cited. She joined the brokerage firm in 2013 and handles sales and leasing for industrial, warehouse and flex product in the Baltimore Washington Corridor. Marley is the listing agent for more than 1.7 million square feet and also focuses on Tenant Representation. Among her specialty areas is working in the craft brewing industry. She has negotiated leases for her listings with Hysteria Brewing, Lost Ark Distillery, Push Brewing Company and has represented brewery clientele; Chesepiooc Real Ale Brewery, Cult Classic Brewing Company and Crooked Crab Brewing Company in their site selection process.
