Sad news broke last month that Canton’s Poe-themed Annabel Lee Tavern would be abruptly closing after 10 years. Now, its course has reportedly been righted.

According to Baltimore Magazine’s Lauren Cohen, owner Kurt X. Bragunier said earlier today that two of his old regulars from Highlandtown stepped in and offered to resurrect the recently closed corner tavern as co-owners. Their plan is to make the concept “exactly the same” as before, he said.

A phone number listed for the bar went unanswered Monday afternoon. Bragunier hasn’t returned a message requested comment.
