
More outdoor space, a taco joint and a new boutique hotel brand are among the developments coming to Harbor Point, an emerging waterfront neighborhood sandwiched between Harbor East and Fells Point. Beatty Development Group's 27-acre project is already home to the 20-story Exelon tower, office building Thames Street Wharf and a handful of retailers. Here are the next projects.
Spike Gjerde's Foodshed Group is showcasing its commitment to local sourcing in a new type of space: a family-friendly outdoor restaurant and playground, the Sandlot. Scheduled to debut May 26, Sandlot will feature a stretch of sand (as the name implies), with palm trees, umbrellas and chairs to complete the beach vibe. It will occupy 30K SF of prime waterfront land. Retrofitted shipping containers will house the bar, kitchen and refrigerator, said Foodshed partner Corey Polyoka.
