Transwestern today announces it negotiated the disposition of 1335 Piccard Drive, a 27,500-square-foot office/flex building in Rockville, Maryland. Jarher Investments LLC purchased the property for $4.2 million. Transwestern Senior Vice Presidents Guy Copperthite and Jim Darby represented the seller, 1335 Piccard LLC, in the transaction.

“We had substantial interest in this property from pure office users, educational/school groups, adult daycare groups and self-storage, which created a healthy, competitive environment for the sale,” said Copperthite. “The new ownership has plans to convert the building into an assisted living and senior care facility.”
The property offers easy access to the Shady Grove Metro Station, with bus service to the station directly in front of the building, as well as Interstate 270 – also known as the Intercounty Connector – and Shady Grove Road.
Ro Waldron and Bill Quay of Avison Young represented Jarher Investments in the transaction.
